Ivy is a were-tiger, who lives apart from her pack and who shuns her tiger half, because of her hazy memories of the events of a traumatic night years ago in high school.  She knows she should be trying to find a mate.  And it isn’t as if she doesn’t have opportunities.  Her twin brother, Ian, says he has the perfect man for her.  Too bad that Ivy is being stalked by a man from her past, who wants revenge.   When he attacks, Ivy runs into Edge, literally, and is drawn to him under the influence of the full moon.  Despite the attraction, she is terrified of what will happen if she explains the reason for the attacks.

I have to admit, I fell in love with Edge.  How could I not?   Half man, half were-tiger, compassionate, gorgeous, totally at ease in his skin and he really wants Ivy.  He wants Ivy so much that he puts his own needs on hold to help her, to woo her, and to make her his mate.   At first, I struggled to like Ivy as much.  She’d avoided remembering for a long time and she seemed too much a victim.  I wasn’t sure she could come out of her shell. I wasn’t sure she could be strong enough to match up with her Mate.  When she comes to grip with her memories and accepts her feelings for Edge, she comes out swinging.  And after that, I could see why the relationship succeeded.

This was the first book I read by Buffy Christopher.  I can honestly say I look forward to reading more.
