Eight years ago, Kylie Walker’s world fell apart when the man she loved left her without warning to join the army.

For those of us who still think about that one special someone who got away, romances starring reunited lovers have an especially significant impact when we read them.  I suppose it is a bit of wishful thinking that draws me to stories with this theme, which is why I couldn’t resist Sommer Marsden’s upcoming release from Whiskey Creek Torrid Press titled THE ANNIVERSARY PARTY.

With its intense plot, this tale had the potential to be very heavy, yet Ms. Marsden managed to infuse a playful feel to it by cleverly peppering the story with bits of subtle wit.  Some of it is simple situational humor, but there is the occasional quip from various characters that keep the tension between Kylie and Wade from swallowing the story.  What we are left with is a romance that artfully balances its levity with the serious issues that plague our couple, ensuring every page is both enjoyable and compelling.

THE ANNIVERSARY PARTY is without a doubt a story that will leave readers reminiscing about some love in their own romantic history, wondering ‘what if?’  Bravo to Sommer Marsden for penning a sensual love story that will touch the hearts of readers!
