Steven can’t keep his eyes off of his sexy neighbor, Felina. He knows she isn’t his normal type, but he doesn’t realize just how far off she is! Can these star-crossed shape shifters defeat the odds and find love and a life together? After reading Marteeka Karland’s novella Opposites Attract, I kicked myself. You see, I already owned one of her other books, but had not yet found the time to actually read it! I can tell you, I enjoyed Opposites Attract so much, that I MADE time to read the other book, which then spawned a book shopping binge purchasing more of Karland’s work. To be honest, my book budget did not really need another author added to my automatic buy list, but Marteeka Karland found her way on to it, definitely. First off, Opposites Attract is just plain hot. Steven and Felina definitely have chemistry, and their love scenes are smoking hot! On top of that, Karland injects the story with ironic humor throughout the pages, which always increases my estimation of a book. Marteeka Karland is the kind of author that makes writing look easy. Her story reads naturally, as if she is simply retelling something that occurred, rather than creating, effectively making the reader feel as if they are part of the scene. Opposites Attract is a fun little story that will heat up the chilliest winter night!
