Connie’s job as an ER nurse is high stress, taxing her emotionally and mentally.  The only way for her to decompress at times is at the hands of a strict Master and a bit of sensual pain.  She has been a member of Club Incognito for years, although she has enjoyed her membership as a stray, never forming a lasting attachment with any one master.  But when tragedy strikes one night while she is helplessly bound as her Master for the evening suffers a fatal heart attack, this last refuge is stripped from her.  How can she ever allow herself to be bound in such a way again, unable to provide medical assistance to her Master should he require it?

Tyrone has wanted Connie for himself for a long time, but has awaited the perfect opportunity to make his move.  Realizing the beautiful submissive needs him more than ever now, he devises a plan with his cousin Alex to leash the little stray together.  With two Doms to see to her needs, Connie is assured of their safety, enabling her to give herself fully into their care.  But will she accept what they offer, or has her ability to submit been forever damaged?

I am honestly amazed every time I read a new edition of the Incognito series penned by Madison Layle and Anna Leigh Keaton.  Just when I am wondering what they can possibly do with these stories next, they release a new book with a premise that is fresh, surprising, and guaranteed to intrigue.

With Conquering Connie, Ms. Layle and Ms. Keaton deliver a unique twist to a BDSM story, one that had never occurred to me prior to reading this book.  What does happen when a Master has a medical problem while his submissive is bound in such a way that she cannot assist him in any way, even by calling 911?  For someone who works in the medical profession, saving lives every day, that situation is especially traumatic, as it is for Connie.  Her fears about returning to the submissive life she craves are palpable, as is her growing need and frustration at denying those needs.

Lucky for both Connie and the readers, Tyrone and Alex are two men who know exactly what she needs, and have no qualms about giving it to her.  Although hesitant to encroach on what he considers Tyrone’s territory at first, Alex is more than eager to agree when Tyrone makes it clear he believes Connie needs them both – not just for a night, but for a lifetime.  Tyrone’s attentiveness to Connie’s needs, even when that means sharing her with another man, are the stuff true Doms are made of, showing he will happily do anything to fulfill her every desire.

While all of the other Incognito books work very well as standalone novels that can easily be read out of order, the way Conquering Connie ends makes me believe that its sequel will be a continuation of some of the storylines begun in this book.  Of course, this is my own supposition based on the fact that the tale ends with a bit of a cliffhanger that left me on the edge of my seat itching for the next book in this addictive series!
