I first fell for Madison Hayes’ CALENDAR GIRLS series when I
devoured my copy of MISS OCTOBER a couple of years ago. In fact,
there is one certain scene in that book that is still one of my favorite scenes
in erotic romance ever. From the moment I read that book, I was addicted to
this series, and to Madison Hayes’ writing. I cannot tell you how happy I was
to see a new edition to this series.
So obviously when Ellora’s Cave released her latest, MISS JANUARY,
I had to have it. And it went straight to the top of my massive
to-be-read pile. I will tell you now that this story and its hero, Cash, rival
MISS OCTOBER’s place in my heart as favorite in the CALENDAR
GIRL series so far. Luckily, I don’t have to choose between them… I
can have them both. *grin*
Cash is every woman’s romantic wet dream – tall, strong, and with an undeniable
sensuality that muddles a gal’s senses and makes her lose her head a bit. Ok, a
LOT. That certainly happened to Mindy Walters, and who can blame this woman for
succumbing to Cash’s considerable charms? Cash is the kind of guy who holds
nothing back when he is trying to get what he wants, and when a man like that
sets his sights on you… *shiver*
Mindy is a breath of fresh air in Cash’s world. She is like no other woman he
has ever met, and something about her sets loose his most primal instincts. She
is all at once innocent, sensuous, contrary, and sweet – a combination that both
intrigues and perplexes him.
The Fourth of July has nothing on the fireworks between Cash and Mindy – the
intoxicating love scenes in MISS OCTOBER are just the thing to
stir the libido and a few night-time fantasies – not to mention daydreams!
