Wow! Was it really just over a year ago that author Anne Rainey published her first book? I was lucky enough to get to review that book, HALEY’S CABIN, and a new fan was born. With her upcoming release from Samhain Publishing, TOUCHING LACE, Anne Rainey proves she is no one-hit wonder by delivering yet another short story that is big on romance and packs plenty of sexual heat!

Is there anything better than a romance in which two best friends find true love together? What could make a better relationship than two people who already know each other well and like what they know? Of course, that situation is never without it’s own issues, and Ms. Rainey is mindful of these in TOUCHING LACE.

Lacey’s worry over losing the man who has been her best friend, the friend who has been there for her through thick and thin for years, is completely understandable. But that very rationale is the best reason for her to take the plunge into sensual new territory with Nick, a fact she is quick to realize.

Nick’s sexy diligence helps with that, of course. The man is relentless in his pursuit of the woman he loves, and considers her needs at every stage of the game. Perhaps his in-depth knowledge of Lacey could be considered an unfair advantage, but when the motivations are so right, and the end result is one grand love affair destined to last the rest of their lives, who can really fault him?
