SHADES OF DARK, Linnea Sinclair's much anticipated sequel to her RITA winner GABRIEL'S GHOST, has received numerous enthusiastic reviews in advance of the July 29th release. Romantic Times BOOKReviews awarded it 4.5 stars, claiming "When it comes to futuristic romance, it doesn't get better than Sinclair!" Meet the author at the Romance Writers of America Literacy Signing (free and open to the public) in San Francisco on July 30; details here http://linneasinclair.com/news.html.

Author Shirley Tallman -- who writes the Sarah Woolson mystery series -- has added a Character Gallery to her website. While there, be sure to check out her latest Penny Pincher column and new Blog. Sad News: Shirley's son, Chris, was killed off the coast of South Africa, when his boat was capsized by a rogue wave. Chris was a gifted singer/songwriter who performed as Matthew Chase. In his honor, THE CHRIS TALLMAN/MATTHEW CHASE MUSIC FUND has been established to provide underprivileged young people with the opportunity to begin or further their musical education. To read more about this fund, please visit Shirley's website at www.shirleytallman.com/christallman.cfm.

Charlotte Hughes will have some great interactive puzzles on her website in early July so be sure to check them out. Do you like hunky firefighters? Try the interactive puzzle. Crosswords more your style? Charlotte challenges you to finish a crossword based on her books. Print it out and have fun. Go to www.readcharlottehughes.com to find out when these will be available.

From Katrina Strauss:

I'm pleased to announce my paranormal Victorian m/m piece, Sleight of Hand, has been contracted with Samhain Publishing. Release date will be late 2008 or early 2009. While Samhain does not offer a yaoi line per se and so will not categorize the story as such, readers of that genre can be assured that Sleight of Hand bears a distinctive yaoi flavor, along with a heavy anime influence and steampunk-ish elements. (This would be the story inspired by a marathon viewing session of D.Gray-Man, if that gives you any idea!) I'll announce an official release date as soon as I have one, so stay tuned!
