Paige Tyler:
Thank you so much for interviewing me, SheilaMonique! I write romantic spanking
stories and erotic romance. And yes, you read that right! I did say romantic
spanking stories! LOL! I love writing about strong, sexy, alpha-males and
feisty, independent heroines, and my books all have romance, adventure, humor,
and of course, lots of hot sex! I'm published with Romantic Spankings, Whiskey
Creek Press-Torrid, and Liquid Silver Books. A typical writing day starts with
me doing Pilates after my hubby goes to work. After that, I check my email, and
then start working on whatever story I'm currently writing! SheilaMonique: Can you tell us about your newest release, ANIMAL ATTRACTION?
Paige Tyler: I'd
love to! It's about a reporter named Eliza Bradley who reluctantly takes a job
at a paranormal magazine. Her first assignment takes her to Alaska to
investigate a werewolf sighting. Of course, she doesn't believe in werewolves,
but after meeting the sexy Hunter McCall, she discovers that not only are
werewolves real, but that they're damn hunky, too! It's my first werewolf
story, and I loved doing it so much that I'm writing a sequel right now, which

SheilaMonique: When you aren’t writing, what can your fans find you doing?
Paige Tyler: I
enjoy reading, doing Pilates, jogging, going to the beach, watching movies, and
hanging out with with my hubby. SheilaMonique: What helps you to keep on writing when you become disheartened?
Paige Tyler: It
can be very frustrating when I'm not in the zone while I'm writing. Talking to
my hubby really helps. He has great ideas! Picking up one of my other books
and reading it helps give me inspiration, too. It reminds me that I can really
do this! SheilaMonique: In your writing career, what was the most electrifying moment?
Paige Tyler: I
don't really have one electrifying moment. Every time I get another book under
contract or see one of my books get released, I totally do the Snoopy Dance!
It's like the first time, every time! Of course, there's also nothing
like getting a great review on one of my books, or getting an email from a fan
telling me that they loved something I wrote. That really makes me feel good. SheilaMonique: Is there something particular you do to celebrate when one of your books is released?
Paige Tyler: The
Snoopy Dance for sure! LOL! My hubby and I go out to dinner, too! And then
some other stuff, too, but that's private! LOL! SheilaMonique: Can you give us some details on your upcoming release from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid, LIBRARIAN BY DAY?
Paige Tyler: No
problem! It's about a shy, reserved librarian who goes on a journey of sensual
discovery when her boyfriend discovers that she secretly writes erotic romances
on the side! It was really fun to write, and I think readers will enjoy taking
the journey with the book's heroine. SheilaMonique: Who encouraged you to write?
Paige Tyler: My
creative writing teacher in high school, Mrs. Griffin. She said that I had what
it took to become a writer and encouraged me to pursue my dream. So, I totally
have to give her a big shout out! SheilaMonique: Out of all of the books you have written, which one is your favorite and why?
Paige Tyler:
This is a difficult question to answer because all of my books are special to
me. If I had to pick, though, I'd say
Animal Attraction, Protective
Custody, Librarian By Day, Cindra and the Bounty Hunter, and
The Cutler Brothers Series. I picked so many because they each
represent a different type of story. As I said,
Animal Attraction
is my first werewolf story. That makes it special to me.
Protective Custody
is my first book with Liquid Silver. I even had to pitch that one in person to
an editor for the publisher - I'll never forget that!
Librarian By Day
is my first spanking story that I'm publishing outside of the spanking
community. Cindra and the
Bounty Hunter is the first book that I just let myself go and
explored all kinds of fun, kinky, erotic romantic things. That one is hot! And
The Cutler Brothers Series is
my first real series. It required that I really think way ahead as I wrote the
books, to make sure I didn't get myself in a bind later in the series. It was
challenging and fun. So you see, every book has a very special meaning to me. SheilaMonique: Have you ever based your characters on people you know?
Paige Tyler:
Nope, they're all from my imagination! SheilaMonique: If you were given super powers for one day what would they be and what would you do?
Paige Tyler: Teleportation!
I just think it'd be so cool to go from place to place like that! I could go to
Disney and still be able to sleep in my own comfy bed! SheilaMonique: I see that you have a few different aliases that you write under, how do you keep them all straight? Also, what differences can fans expect in the stories from each of your pen names?
Paige Tyler:
Actually, I used different pen names early in my writing career, but I now write
exclusively under Paige Tyler, and all of my books written under the other pen
names are being released in print now under the name Paige Tyler. SheilaMonique: If you weren't a writer, what would you do?
Paige Tyler: I
absolutely love being a writer, so it's hard to even imagine doing something
else! Maybe a character at Disney. I'm partial to Tigger! SheilaMonique: What are your favorite scenes to write?
Paige Tyler: I
love writing the sex scenes, of course! But, sheesh they can be tough to write
- believe it or not. Sometimes the character just refuse to do the scene the
way I envision it! Then we have to spend hours talking and compromising. It's
like union negotiations! Spanking scenes are always fun, of course. But one of
the things I love writing the most are all those in-between scenes where the h/h
are getting to know each other and falling in love! That's where the romance
really gets developed. SheilaMonique: What advice can you give to an aspiring writer?
Paige Tyler: Write
what you know and feel most comfortable writing, not whatever the current
popular genre is. And don't give up on your dream of becoming a writer! And

Sure! It's a western spanking romance set in the Wyoming Territory in the
1800's about a girl, Kayla, who tries to escape an arranged marriage by
journeying across country by herself. But when she runs out of money, she
decides to pose as a mail-order bride, thinking she can bilk the supposed groom
out of some quick cash. Of course, she discovers that Cord is not only difficult
to fool, but he's also a hunk. She finds herself falling for him - and the
spankings he gives her when she gets a little too uppity for his liking - but
the lies she's told since meeting him are hanging over her head and she doesn't
know how to tell him that she's not really his mail-order bride! It's available

SheilaMonique: I see that many of your books have a spanking theme to them. Why do you think romance fans find this fantasy so appealing?
Paige Tyler:
I think there's something just very sexy about having a big, strong, handsome
guy taming a feisty girl by putting her over his knee and giving her a good
spanking. And what makes it even better is that those spankings lead to some
very hot sex! SheilaMonique: Do you know exactly what you're going to write beforehand or do you just follow where your inspiration leads?
Paige Tyler:
I do actually work from a written outline, but sometimes my characters have a
way of talking me into going in a completely different direction! LOL! SheilaMonique: Thank you for taking the time to visit with us here at Wild on Books!
