Apply to Staff - Wild on Books

Wild on Books is looking for a few new reviewers! If you enjoy reading and expressing your opinion of books in a constructive way, we’d like you to apply to review with us. Both experienced reviewers and new reviewers are welcome to apply.

Our reviewers are not assigned the books they will review. We post those we’ve received review requests for to our staff database, and reviewers request those they are interested in reviewing. The first reviewer to request the book is the one who receives it.

Requirements:

Must be competent with spelling and grammar, or at least with spell check tools. LOL We are looking for individuals who can work with a minimum of edits needed. We will coach those who need assistance with the review process as they get started.
Must be willing to review eBooks as well as print books.
Must be willing to write honest reviews that contain constructive criticism when necessary – never snark.
Must enjoy reading… LOL

We have no minimum number of reviews required in a month, so reading speed is not a consideration. We welcome those who can do 1 review a month, and those who can do 20 reviews a month.

We are a non-profit review house, and so this is strictly a volunteer position with no monetary recompense. Reviewers will receive complementary copies of review books through Wild on Books, but are also welcome to review books they have purchased if they wish.

To apply, please send a sample review to jennifer@wildonbooks.com. Your sample review can be for a book in any genre you prefer. It will not be posted at Wild on Books unless your application is approved and only with your permission.

Staff

We are also looking for some additional staff members who are interested in doing interviews, working on events with authors and publishers, moderation in our forum, some administrative tasks (web formatting of reviews, etc.) and more.
